Design Concept, UI, UX, Visual Designer

My goal for the Rhude website revision was to experiment with they idea of a runway show store experience. I wanted the user to be able to watch the show and be interested in the pieces through the artistic approach of the clothing pieces intent style. With each model walking down the runway the customer would have the option to add the piece to their cart directly from the show. This would allow for a more seamless experience while integrating the runway show for those who didn't get a chance to see it.

What we've done

1. Experimental exploration

2. Revision of the website layout

3. Mobile application redesign

4. Runway show streaming and website integration

5. Product Design exploration

We've got work to do

This website form the start had some complications, most importantly being how to integrate a runway show streaming without latency. This was because utilizing an AI like system to track each piece throughout the stream would most likely only work with customers with a strong wifi connection and low ping resulting in an extremely smooth integration of the stream and shopping experience. The director had also told use that we should remember that the demographics of the brand would be upper income and already interested in other live fashion streams. With this in mind I continued to design how the runway would look when the AI detected each garment throughout the runway show.

Level asked as to help

— Explorer a newer website experience for retail customers

— Integrate this into web and mobile

— Match their bold vision to the look and experience of the product

— Provide a visual framework that will help the product team iterate faster

This project became one of my most unique interpretation of how a retail experience could be for a customer and how this would translate to conversions for the business. Overall this project converted to over 20% more traction with customers leaving use with a direction that could be utilized for more collections to come in the future. I learned, through this project, that the role of every designer on the team is important and communicating this language to a developer is also equally important.
